New Tag and Pin Elements
Friday, November 13th, 2009New elements are available!
We’d like to present new JustProto elements:
TAGS and PINS
These two elements have similar function to sticky notes. You can use them to tag other elements with a short comment or note. However, unlike sticky notes where text is visible constantly, Tag or Pin comments become visible only when you move your mouse over them.
Tags and Pins are not only great for adding comments. You can also use them to:
- set the tooltip in your forms
- explain some functionalities
- add a reminder
- design smiley

Improved Elements List
For your convenience, Elements List has been moved to top right corner and it has been joined with Properties. Now you can easily choose and add objects to your prototype and change their properties in the same place!

We have enriched our Elements List with over 200 icons! You will find there FamFamFam icons grouped in 15 different categories, as well as CrystalClear and Social Media icons. All to be found in Elements List >> Icons.
What’s more, over 40 different types of banners are included! Now, you can compose your website with Google AdSense forms, such as Text Ads, Video and Image Ads or Link Units. IAB banners should fulfill this listing as well as custom sized banner.

Want to make your prototypes even more interactive? With just one click add videos to your prototypes from services like: YouTube, Metacafe, Dailymotion, Vimeo and Yahoo! Video. The only thing you need is the URL of the video!

1.5 JustProto Version is now working!

It’s been a while since our last post. We sincerely apologize for this, but we were extremely loaded with lots of running projects and what’s the most important – improving JustProto.
Today, we release a new, upgraded 1.5 JustProto version with several remarkable changes.
- We made JustProto application significantly faster – you can especially notice that, while composing project full to the brim with many different elements. It’s beceause we used mootools 1.22 instead of mootools 1.11. Now, your browser is immortal!:)
- Enhanced Page Navigator
| How was it previously? when you duplicated a page it was at the end of pages list.

And now? duplicated page appears under the original one.

- Now you can easily add a color to swatch. You can also set any color using RGB (hex) code.
- Multiselection is improved!
Selected items can be moved all together!
- We finally removed annoying master bug: one of our users has reported that while switching between the masters without saving page, the master didn’t appear. Now, everything works fine.
Hope you will find those changes usefull!
We are optimistically looking forward to another upgrades! Our wish list contains:
- exporting projects to zip archive
- increasing number of ready-to-use elements!

New version of JustProto is available

It’s been a while since we’ve launched JustProto in basic edition. Since then, we’ve received tons of emails. You gave us many precious hints how to improve JustProto, took notice of deficiencies and reported millions of bugs 
Some of you came to like prototyping and some of you not. Some said JustProto rocks, and some noted that prototyping sucks and JustProto, forgotten, will soon take place at archive.org.
Thank you for all your emails and we hope to get another ones. Thanks to you, we know how to improve JustProto and what kind of features may be useful for you.
Well, anyway – we would hereby announce the newest version of JustProto.
The new plans are available and JustProto website is much more pretty without ‘coming soon’ icons.
What’s new in JustProto
- Collaboration feature – you can manage your users through the user management panel and allow many of them to work on the same prototype.
- More useful project management panel – includes thumbnails and preview of the main page of the project
- Saving tool properties – easy use of previously defined styles of elements (fonts, borders, etc.)
- Improved preview in Internet Explorer – now prototypes previewed in IE6 look almost perfect
- Fixed other issues – too many to list all of them here. Generally you will find JustProto nicer, faster and more stable.
